Once
upon a time
there lived
a lady
In a maze of
riches, lies
and blame she
called her home
Where wine and
money flowed
like nothing
really mattered
Loneliness is
colder in a
mansion made
of stone
Once upon a
time there lived
a lady
Say strangers
looking at the
mansion made
of stone
Here tell she
left it all
like nothing
really mattered
In search for
love and peace
her poor soul
would roam
Once upon a
time there lived
a lady
In a rented
room on the
far east side
of the town
The ease of
life and comforts
now just hazy
memories
Waking in a
smoke filled
craze, coming
down
Once upon a
time there lived
a lady
On the streets
by day till
her footsteps
quietly ended
Making her bed
beneath the
cold dark sky
With one the
same she had
befriended
Once upon a
time there lived
a lady
A pauper till
in sleep forever
they took her
home
At night he
comes and on
her grave he
places paper
roses
And talks to
her of happiness
only they had
known
Once upon a
time there lived
a lady
Who found her
love and to
leave him it
took dyin
No lull of satin
and lace could
persuade her
from his side
No grander lady
lived once upon
a time
